Greeniuronic

A recent study utilized a sophisticated system that mimics the actual environment of a skin injury.

This allows for a more realistic assessment of GreenIuronic's effects on wound healing. Specifically, it used a complex cell system resembling a skin injury situation coupled with a 3D intestinal organoid system approved by EFSA. Results showed that GreenIuronic helped cells to heal faster.

It strongly increased the survival of keratinocytes and promoted the formation of new, elastic tissue compared to sodium hyaluronate from fermentation.

Claudin-1, ZO-1, and Occludin: These are all proteins involved in the formation of tight junctions, that are like strong zippers between cells in the skin, creating a barrier that keeps unwanted things out (like bacteria) and important things in (like moisture). Their early appearance suggests they're essential for setting the stage for proper healing. Data suggest that GreenIuronic increases the activity of all three proteins. This could mean GreenIuronic helps cells build tighter junctions faster, potentially leading to:

  • Improved barrier function: preventing infections and excessive fluid loss
  • Enhanced healing: Faster and more efficient closure of the wound
